Agora Gallery competition is open to visual artists from around the world at any stage in their careers. JONATHAN FERRARA GALLERY FERRARA GALLERY proudly hosts an annual call for artists for NO DEAD ARTISTS. Each year, the call is open through 1 June and the exhibition participants are selected by an ever-changing group of three prestigious arts professionals. The exhibition itself is installed in the gallery for the entire month of September with an opening reception the first Saturday from 6-9pm.

Embler Art Gallery annual ‘Call for Artists’ hosted
 inside (7) Airline Club lounges located in Miami, New York and Sao Paulo, Brazil where selected Artists will have their art displayed in a year long in-club exhibition. Artists who are selected as finalists benefit from world-wide exposure and have the opportunity to sell works to thousands of members who visit the Airline Club Lounges daily. All works submitted for the exhibition must be available for sale. Upon the sale of an artwork, artist will receive 50% commission of the agreed upon price. All art will be tagged and sold through Embler Art Gallery to members visiting the Club Lounges.

Foundry Art Centre Foundry Art Centre is now accepting proposals for a rotation of solo exhibitions by promising emerging artists. This series provides a venue for early-career artists to show their work to a regional audience. The ideal Emerging Artist would be out of school (not a student) and would not yet have achieved significant recognition for his or her work.

Manhattan Arts International RenĂ©e Phillips, Director of Manhattan Arts International, an author, artist consultant and arts writer. She has curated more than 60 exhibitions in NYC, NY and online and has served on the Board of Directors for nonprofit women’s organizations. She will select the art based on the images and the artists’ statements. The art works she chooses reflect originality, and superior technical skills. In making her final selections she visits the artists’ websites to select the artists who have achieved artistic excellence in many different areas of their careers.

Sheen Gallery a small gallery space for the exhibition of art work in its main lobby. The space is curated in 6-8 week cycles and we work with artists from around the country as well as artists within our geographic community. The Sheen Center will have one curated slot per season whose intent is to feature the work of an emerging Catholic artist.

Grey Art Gallery Grey Art Gallery will review proposals from curators and art institutions. However, before submitting a proposal, please keep in mind that given our staff size, the academic calendar, and limited resources, the Grey hosts only three exhibitions a year, one of which we originate ourselves, and is typically booked three years in advance. Additionally, the Grey shows relatively few solo exhibitions of contemporary artists since there are so many New York venues dedicated to this purpose. Although our shows are certainly diverse, they tend to be more historical in nature and are usually presented in collaboration with NYU faculty and staff.

FRESH! 2016 will take place between 7th July - 13th August. Entitled "50 Faces", the juried group exhibition examines contemporary portraiture. In this call, the gallery invites artists to demonstrate their artistic approach and interpretation through the presentation of self-portraits, portraits of a person or groups, animals or objects. An intimate view of the depicted subject, portraits present an exploration of the character, sentiment, or identity of an individual or place. Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center accepts submissions for art in any media by artists from anywhere in the world. We have a preference toward new work, with an emphasis on installation, sculpture, and new media—none of which precludes submissions of paintings, drawings, or photography, et al (all of which find their way into our program). The Earlville Opera House for Artists: May 1 2016 The Earlville Galleries invite artist proposals for solo exhibitions in our three art galleries. The Earlville Galleries annually present 12-13 solo exhibitions of regional and national contemporary visual artists in all media. The Galleries also feature four annual group shows highlighting the talens of regional artists as well as an annual exhibition of contemporary quilt artists that show their work nationally.
